About Me

I am a caring psychotherapist with excellent empathy, listening, and clinical skills. My goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of my clients and to help them develop a sense of self worth, competence, self reliance, and self acceptance. I specialize in trauma, codependency, performance enhancement, and spirituality as it relates to our psychological well being. I also treat anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment to loss, and relationship issues.

Although my approach differs to fit each individual’s unique needs, my method of treatment usually starts with assessing you for depression, anxiety, level of trauma, and examining your history. With all of that information in hand we move into Brainspotting or EMDR work, which I carefully explain to you and introduce in a safe way. I have found that this method of treatment has been the most effective for getting the best and fastest results. All my clinical experience is backed by an abundance of research

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in the corporate world in various roles of Information Technology, including 10 years in management. In addition to an MA in psychology I hold an MBA. I use my understanding of the business world to help many clients with issues in that area.

I believe that when we are healthy and whole we are capable of continual emotional, spiritual, and intellectual growth. I see psychotherapy as a powerful tool for healing the wounds that impede our growth and for facilitating the growth process. I believe we are all on the path together and that I am growing alongside you as we work through your healing process. I am continuing to do my own healing work, which helps me feel a personal connection to your experiences. Clients often express comfort and relief with how we interact from the very first session and many have referred their friends to me. I know I can make a positive difference in your life and look forward to working with you.

I am a member of EMDRIA (EMDR International Association), RMBI (Rocky Mountain Brainspotters Institute), and SEBI (Southeast Brainspotting Institute).  These are specific organizations that help me keep continue to fine tune my skills as a Brainspotting and EMDR therapist.
